Évora 2027 European Capital of Culture, is promoted by the Executive Board Évora 2027, led by the Municipality of Évora. Other institutions in the Executive Board are the Alentejo Regional Directorate for Culture, University of Évora, Intermunicipal Community of Central Alentejo, Alentejo Regional Development Coordination Commission, Alentejo Regional Tourism Entity (ERT), Eugénio de Almeida Foundation, and Alentejo Regional Agency for Tourism Promotion (ARPTA). Évora 2027 has the support of the four Intermunicipal Communities of the Alentejo, representing the 47 municipalities in the region.
