Since the beginning, Évora 2027's candidacy to become the European Capital of Culture has been an open project, led by the Executive Committee and embraced by those who make up the Mission Team and those who, from several locations in the Alentejo and beyond, bring their views, their expectations, their experience and their ideas to this project.
For a city and a region, the European Capital of Culture is a collective process, made of multiple voices that sound as one. Thus, in the construction of Évora 2027, the Mission Team has implemented an extensive participation process, which will be ongoing until the year of the title, with the goal of feeling the pulse of the territory, understanding which issues are most relevant to people and communities, and involving the largest possible number of people in a collective process driven by a common goal.
